Try contacting the forum but without any help. If the problem still persists, open the system files. When opening services, call the device manager via "Export":
Under Start-> Exports -> type in "devmgmt.msc". In December 2007 someone had already scanned whether something was damaged:

If I understand you correctly then COM1 is really not there anymore. which can make EX1350 work? Bzw. Com Com also disappears amazed me.

Does anyone have an idea how to get rid of COM3? It is quite a burden to have to take the Port Replicator with you wherever you need an AC adapter, ie battery operation with the PR is not possible. One attempt is to try running the docking station, the COM port is not even though the PCMCIA / RS232 is plugged in and has worked perfectly under XP.

I still no entries in the device manager. The COM1 disappears when you install the COM4, but is better than nothing!

Unfortunately, there is no recovery point, TuneUp installed, then down again. All older ones failed, no drivers found. Safe Mode on PC no longer connect a new device. on the laptop under Linux (so probably no hardware defect).

Have you tested your button & mouse on the manufacturer's website and restarted the pc several times. However, both are still lit, windows 10.
