I think I had Windows 8 installed in advance so I can get started right away when it arrives. Gladly I leave the Ubuntu, was a new one and formatted it. Since Ubuntu stayed black while booting, no new boot device or boot recovery media was decided.

As already written above, I don't have a recovery CD, only the Windows 8 DVD, which Windows cannot install. I deleted all partitions, put music on W8 and started working on Ubuntu.
